I’ve been doing my smog checks here on and off for years and have always had such a great experience. You are greeted right away, reasonable prices and wait-times are painless (waited less than 30 minutes in their A/C waiting room to get my SMOG check and printed certificate). Everyone is friendly and professional. Community vibe because they have been located there over 2 decades (maybe more!)

They were great. A gentleman named PARK helped me and without asking he fixed tire pressures and when i got my new plates he installed it for me. Very nice man. I liked the whole staff and highly recommend this place.

I have been going to Santa Monica Motors for many years! I always feel comfortable and safe when they work on my car! Everyone (cashiers, mechanics, and the smog dept) is so helpful, honest, and informative. I love the texts that include pictures of the work they did and the red, yellow, and green marks showing what is absolutely necessary, what can wait, and what is fine! I have been taking my cars to SM Motors for many years now. This time my Hyundai developed a rough idle and loss of power. I have had this car for over 10 years and am at the point of needing to weigh the delicate balance of fixing vs how much money to pour into the car. They worked with me to diagnose needing new ignition coils and plugs. The issue was resolved in a timely manner and relative to the amount of labor and parts, I was charged accordingly. And Karent was awesome with communication during the whole process. Nothing less than the usual excellent service I've come to expect from SM Motors. 👍🏻👍🏻
