Nice guys, who seem very honest. They replaced a part without charging for it, as part of major repairs I had done on a newly-purchased used car. They didn't see the damage until other parts were taken off of the vehicle.

As usual excellent service, especially with ELOI.

Helpful and understanding. I will definitely be back for future services.

Always go out of there way to do a good job, and to satisfy the customer.

I want to thank Don for hearing my concerns about me last service appointment. I was very surprised and pleased when Don contacted me himself and we discussed my concerns. We were able to arrive at a professional and mutually agreed upon solution. I found that Don was very professional and honest. I had been to 3 or 4 other places before i found sm motors on yelp-- i think it was divine intervention---i had a catalytic converter that wasn't responding on my smog test so i couldn't do anything until it was fixed-i was told many things by the other people i saw but it was only when i drove into santa monica motors that i new i had found the right place--these guys are the nicest people in the world and know what they are doing- i will be back for other problems if have them- i will recommend this place to all my friends---by the way they had my cat running again within a hour and a half---they are the reason i will be having a great holiday!! so i send peace and love to all at SANTA MONICA MOTORS --THANK YOU!

My first visit. I looked for places close to home and had read recent YELP reviews. I arrived mid day on a Saturday and despite several people already there when I arrived - I experienced fast, professional and courteous service. I was told my wait would be about a half an hour, and I was in fact back out the door in just about that amount of time. Bob as the counter was very friendly and everyone else in the waiting area with me that day, including a woman whose car failed (apparently for a second time) all seemed to have very professional and friendly service. I will go back when I next need a smog inspection.

My car appreciates how well the guys take care of her. She feels like a VIP every time!

I have lived in Santa Monica for a long time and have used several different shops over the years. I will never need to look for a new mechanic again! Don at Santa Monica Motors is absolutely the best! I have two Dodge vehicles and a Nissan and he has worked on them all. He has done fantastic work on: radiator, head lights, engine, transmission, oil changes, and much more. Thought they are not the cheapest in town...you can't find a more honest group of guys who focus on quality and customer service. Don and his crew are absolutely THE BEST!!

These guys are the best. Ray, Don and the rest of the staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and (most importantly) HONEST. I struggled for years to find a good mechanic that I felt I could trust until a friend recommended Santa Monica Motors about 7 years ago. I have been coming here ever since and I have never had anything less than an excellent experience. When the IMA system on my Honda Civic Hybrid failed and needed to be replaced, I found out it was going to cost over 5K to replace. But Don looked into it for me (without me asking him to) and discovered that the warranty for that part had been extended. He printed out the information regarding the warranty for me and sent me to the dealership where I got it replaced FOR FREE. Yes, you read that correctly. Santa Monica Motors turned down an opportunity to charge me for service and instead sent me to the dealership, saving me thousands of dollars in the process. These guys are the real deal and the most trust-worthy mechanics I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Look no further, Santa Monica Motors is the best shop in town.
