I hope that five stars means good service because I was very pleased. From the moment I drove in to the moment I cashed out and left, I was impressed with the professionalism and good humor of the staff.

I called Santa Monica Motors in the morning as they opened. My car broke down the night before and I needed to have it towed for repairs. They told me to bring it in right away. They finished the assessment by around 10:30 and I drove my car away at 3:00! Excellent and fair service for a first time customer. Definitely recommend!

Surprisingly nice and super professional. Well appointed waiting room -- coffee, water, tea, tv, comfie chairs, a/c, and succulents. For a smog shop to put this much TLC into its waiting room, I felt compelled to review (as the outside of shop is super non-descript)

About as pain free as it gets. Dropped by on my lunchbreak and was told it'd be about a half hour or so. Went for a walk down the block to Rite Aid to shop a bit, and after 20 minutes or so returned to the nice waiting area, got a free coffee from one of those Kurig dispensers, and three minutes later the car was ready in the time they said it would be. Paid up, got the keys, and was heading back to work. Easy Peasy.

Professional, quality service at better rates that the dealership. I've been going here for 5 years and have always been pleased with their work. I have an older car that I plan on keeping as long as possible and they advise me on the timing of maintenance items to maintain the car for the long term. The only negative is that their great service has been discovered by others, and sometimes I have to do more planning and make an appointment now, as they are so busy! In the long run this is good as they are a solid community business provider who will be here for the long term. Great group of professionals!
