I would say this is a good service spot. I got an oil change, which came with a free, reasonably in depth, inspection. They made me aware of a couple things to keep in mind for the coming months, and suggested one additional maintenance procedure. When I declined, they didn't pressure me, they were very understanding and not in the least bit bitter or resentful.

This place never disappoints. Don is a great service manager. Very personable and knowledgeable. Fidel, the shuttle driver, is always polite and friendly. And Karim, the owner, runs a tight ship with business integrity. My 2002 Honda Odyssey is running like a dream. This time they fit me in on a busy Friday without an appointment (not recommended) because I was asked at the last minute to drive a bunch of athletes to a weekend competition.

I've been going to Santa Monica Motors for more than 10 years, and I have to say they are the best repair shop on the west side, period. Service, attention to detail, quality of repair, follow-up, price - great in every dept. Plus they never, ever try and push you into an unnecessary repair - if anything, they tell you when you can wait a little before spending the money on something marginal. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone. My 2004 G35 (with 128,000 miles) still runs like new, and they are one of the main reasons. We're lucky to have them on the west side.
