I had a great experience at Santa Monica Motors. I needed a new ac condenser. They were able to come in under the dealer estimate and I was confident I wasn't going to be shortchanged on quality. I arrived in the morning per appointment and after getting checked-in, a car was ready to take me to work in SM. When all was done, they called, picked me up to bring me to the garage and I was out in a few minutes. The ac seems to work great!

Came here for a smog check and was in and out within 35 minutes. Bob is a very nice guy and offers helpful tips for maintaining older vehicles. Great customer service. Will definitely come back next time.

had a pleasant experience. Was greeted warmly at check in and my car was ready soon than was expected. I was surprised though, at that fact that my car underwent a "thorough" inspection and a nail in the tire was not discovered. It's a fairly large nail-upon dropping off car I forgot to mention to mechanic but was certain that with a thorough inspection it would be discovered. It was not. Truly it makes me wonder how well the car was inspected. Still, this doesn't take away from the positive experience I had.

I had a bad experience elsewhere, so I looked on yelp for good reviews for a smog station, since I was in the area and had no idea where to go. I called before I went and spoke to the famous Bob. He was really friendly and helpful. I explained the problem on my OBD system failing smog. He told me to come in and to check it for free and if it wasn't picking up any readings he wouldn't perform a smog. I'm so glad he checked so I wouldn't waste more money. I will definitely come back here. They're honest and reliable.

So I brought my 2012 Kia Rio baller status in for a smog check because my GF and I just moved here from Chicago. Congrats, so has everyone else Bob Greeted us. When we told him we had just moved here, he shook our hands and welcomed us. awehhh I became a little cheerful, because immediately when Bob Rich starts talking, you feel as if you're at ease. He just seems so nice. almost too nice.. jk the exact right amount of nice. I could just listen to this guy talk about what gas to put in my car, and where we should drive it every 6 months, so that our car will run for a very long time. If not for the large counter in between us, I think we would have hugged him. we will be visiting this guy every year for our smog test. Heck, we might just visit him today, and show him the shirts we made with his picture on them, but we are afraid he might think its a little too forward. welp, we miss you already. and check this place out people.LOVE,Lara and Charlie CHARLAR, dont worry, we think its a dumb name too
