Don and his crew over at SM Motors are true pro's. I have struggled in the past to find good mechanics and a team of people I trust; SM Motors delivers on all accounts. I highly recommend SM Motors they get the job done right and affordable.

Scheduling an appointment was easy. When I arrived, Ray and Don explained everything thoroughly and began working on my car immediately. Before moving ahead with other necessary repairs, they called to make sure I wanted to pay the extra money. Moreover, they explained exactly what that money was going to. My car is running better than it has in months, and my experience here was immensely better than any I've had at a dealership. You have to go to Santa Monica Motors. Five stars doesn't even begin to do them justice.

I had a wonderful experience taking my car (2005 Scion TC) to Santa Monica Motors. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They were able to fix a problem that others had been unable to. I really appreciated the fact that they kept me in the loop with everything that was going on with my car via phone and texts. They also offered shuttle service upon dropping of my car. They made everything so easy - I am now a loyal customer!

Incredible. I walked in to get a smog check without an appointment on Sunday, there were several people ahead of me and they still had me in and out in less than 30 minutes. Pleasantly surprised.

excellent service for my aging car - Don's the greatest

I am an Asian woman who knows nothing about cars. I walked into Santa Monica Motors and told them to let me know if the car needs any work, essentially giving them carte blanche to rob me blind. I expected them to come back with an inspection report that basically told me there were a million things wrong with my car. They did not. They said that there were a couple of minor things like wiper blades and air filters that were not an issue, and the car was good but the back brakes were dangerously low. I knew there were brake problems because I heard squeaking. They were extremely respectful, courteous and CONSERVATIVE. Note, I went to another shop closer to my home a few years ago and gave them the same carte blanche. They recommended nearly $600 in work as a bare minimum and tried to tell me my transmission was about to give out, even though the car was running fine. The guys here were respectful and courteous, but for a woman bringing a car to an auto shop, the most important thing is honesty. I'll be bringing my car back here for any work that may need to be performed in the future.
