I just have to say, Don and Santa Monica Motors are consistently excellent. I have 2 Priuses, I get great information, fast service and honest pricing, including for smaller jobs like SMOG check and oil change. Very professional and helpful.

I'm blown away by the excellent customer service and mechanical work that Don and his team provided - they were thorough yet very mindful of my time constraints. Don went through great lengths to share with me both visually and verbally - in non-car-mechanic terms my car status and issues--I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that! Don & co are experts in their field, highly professional and personable. And my car's issues - completely fixed within 24 hours! Don has created an incredible team that operates like a well-functioning family. Everyone treats you with respect and explains every detail in a way a non-mechanic can easily understand! I don't normally write reviews, but like many other people on here, Santa Monica Motors was SO good that I just had to share my experience. I have a 2010 Toyota Prius, but had never gotten a smog check before. I called at 5:00pm to see how long a smog check would take, and if they accepted walk-ins. The man on the phone was incredibly kind and helpful, saying that it shouldn't take any longer than 15 minutes and that I could come in right now. I drove over and sure enough, I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. I wish I remembered the name of the man at the front desk who helped me, as well as the guy who did the smog check, because they both could not have been nicer. The waiting area was also very clean and comfortable. Normally I don't look forward to anything car maintenance-related because it's such a pain, but I'll definitely be coming back here in the future!

Being somewhat new to an area, finding someone who you can trust with you car is somewhat of a nightmare. From making the appointment, dropping off my car, getting a rental car, and picking up my car, Don made the entire experience a breeze! He will tell you like it is, no BS. I came in to have my 2014 Q50 looked at for the first time ever, since I got it over 2 years ago. Up until now, all I've done is change the oil. The brakes were making noise and I figured it was time for a checkup. Don was very helpful. He looked at the brakes and said they look fine he also suggested that I have Infiniti look at them because it may be under warranty, only an honest mechanic would do that. I had my windshield wipers changed and that was it. There are some small things I could replace (air filters) but, for now, the car is in perfect condition. As far as the brakes, turns out they need glazing but otherwise, they're fine. I will definitely bring my car back when it needs another oil change.

Don and the whole team are absolutely fantastic! I have an older car and I trust him to help me keep it running for many more years. Only wish the shop was a little closer to my house...
